Multimillion Dollar Plan Proposed to Pay Sexual Abuse Claims
The Roman Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and affiliated parishes, schools, academies, Catholic Charities organizations, and other ministries have agreed to compensate people who claim they were sexually abused by clergy or church personnel.
Sexual abuse includes unwanted sexual behavior, contact, comments, or any conduct that was sexual in nature, whether or not it was recognized as abuse at the time.
